Kalettes & speciality kale featured on BBC Countryfile on 4th December 2016

This Sunday’s (4th December) episode of BBC Countryfile features Tozer Seeds new vegetable Kalettes. It was filmed on location at Staples Farm in Lincolnshire.

Staples have been growing Kalettes for the last five years and have been working closely with Tozer Seeds. Jamie Claxton, Director of Plant Breeding at Tozer Seeds explains to John Craven how and why Kalettes, a cross between Kale and Brussels Sprouts, were bred.

David Rogers the U.K. Sales director at Tozer seeds said ‘this was a great opportunity to present to a wider audience the scale of complexity of innovation going on within vegetable plant breeding’.
