24-12-2015

Tozer Seeds announces that a wide variety and consistent supply has driven over ten years of growth in the spring mix category. Tozer is also committed to providing a large supply of seed on most items; these varieties include both conventional and organic.

Tozer captures the essence of variety with its spring mix, which features Osterley; a dark green, thick and crunchy leaf romaine, Sulu; a green oak leaf lettuce, Calshot; a vibrant bronze leaf red romaine, Red Russian Kale; a tender and color specialty that can be incorporated into salad packs or stir fries as well as a leading lacinato type called Nero di Toscana. With industry leading varieties like Intense, Red Charlotte and Candida, Tozer also offers red and green chard for their spring mix customers. “Our biggest objective is to utilize and incorporate as much variety as we can in the spring mix,” says Tozer sales manager Kraig Kuykendall. With their ability to incorporate this many varieties, Tozer establishes a large platform of attraction for growers. Tozer takes into account the many options that growers wish to have and use it to enhance their strategy.

Tozer has ongoing breeding efforts in lettuce, kale, and chard; the main menu for a United States spring mix production. Kuykendall expresses the anticipated launch of these additions saying, “We are very excited to expand our variety of offerings and are looking forward to launching these new products.”

As Tozer continues to grow and expand its offerings, their demand for variety and seed quantity also grows. Tozer recognizes this and at the same time is establishing true variety within its spring mix as it prepares to launch even more varieties. Tozer further capitalizes on new opportunities as they continue to prove their leadership in the market.
