As the name suggests this is a type of spinach with far eastern influences. These cultivars have an upright habit, smooth leaves and long petioles and are generally used for bunching.

Savoy

Savoy

Also know as 'full' Savoy's these cultivars have heavily puckered, thick, dark green leaves and a distinctive sweet creamy flavour.

Semi - Savoy

Semi - Savoy

Sitting between Standard and Savoy types these cultivars have a medium puckered leaf and are generally more upright than full Savoy's. The thick, dark green leaves have good texture and give good 'bag fill'.

Also referred to as flat leaf or smooth types; standard cultivars have minimally puckered leaves and an upright habit.
