The Flower Sprout™ is a brand new vegetable; a small green and purple sprout with curly leaves. The Flower Sprout™ is a cross between two real 'Superfoods', Brussels sprouts and British kale.

Sow in warmth March-mid May in pots or module trays of good quality compost. Grow on in good light and harden off prior to planting outside from late April to June in full sun in open fertile soil. Protect from bird damage. The very hardy striking plants should be at least 60cm apart and can reach well over a metre tall so all plenty of space. The flower-like rosette sprouts which develop on the stems can be harvested from November to March and are great stir fried or lightly steamed to enhance their wonderful nutty sweet flavour.
