Non-heading lettuce types tend to be Oakleaf and Lollo Verdi types, they tend to be fairly delicate with a mild flavour. Non-heading types may be used for ‘multi-leaf’ mechanical harvesting production which can give several harvests.
A large framed, heavy oakleaf variety, producing heads of up to 600g. Darkish green with thick leaves, it has excellent flavour with ongoing crunchiness. A long standing variety. Mildew resistance: Bl 1-12, 17, 18, 11, 24, 25 and LMV resistant.
