Our 1000 series of cauliflowers are hybrid winter varieties and produce high quality dense curds to mature over the difficult period of December to February. The series all boast good deep white curds which are well protected and have good winter hardiness.
This is an Autumn x Roscoff variety and matures mid December to early January, according to area. The earliest maturing of the series it has excellent dark green waxy leaves, with good cover and leaf wrap for frost protection. It produces hard, deep, white heads.
This excellent variety comes next in order of maturity and heads mid to late January. The curds are white, deep and uniform, set deep in a vigorous, protective plant. This is one of the very best of the 1000 series and gives high cut out of class 1 facepack material.
This is the latest of the series, cropping late January into early February. The plant habit is upright with good frost protection. The curd itself is set deep in the plant and is hard and white, with a good pack out of class 1 curds.
This is another market leader for late January cutting. The quality of the curds is consistently outstanding, being heavy and white, giving a high percentage of class 1 material from plants with good vigour and frost protection. This variety is top of the pile without doubt!
