Endive

Endive is rich in many vitamins and minerals especially in folate and vitamins A and K, and is high in fibre. There are two main varieties of cultivated endive, curly endive or ‘frisée’ and broad-leaved endive or ‘escarole’ are very popular for use in mixed salad bags.

Frenzy

Leaves are finely curled and deeply cut. The heart self blanches a creamy yellow to white colour. Suitable for baby leaf.

Darker and broader leaves than Frenzy. Very good bolting tolerance and less susceptible to tip burn than many varieties.

Salad King

Large framed coarse leaved endive which is slow to bolt. Leaves are not as finely curled as Frenzy but Salad King will give more weight.
