Celery

Celery

Since Tozer’s unique discovery of male sterility in wild celery, we have been able to breed hybrid varieties. Initial breeding was for the UK but we have more recently expanded to meet the demands of international markets. The UK market likes a mid green colour to the petioles and varieties which are slow to bolt from spring sowings; Victoria very successfully meets these requirements. Our breeding programme has produced varieties for a wide range of different markets, of which not all are detailed here, if you would like to know more about these please contact your area representative.
