Recent Tozer breeding has concentrated on root fly resistance and has culminated in the release of Flyaway and Resistafly, two increasingly popular varieties. Flavour has also always been an important factor for us and all of our range is considered to have good flavour. We offer a selection of varieties to suit most of the needs of carrot growers.
Our own stock of this quick developing half long variety. One of the earliest for forcing outdoors or under cloches. Roots colour well when still young with a very sweet flavour.
A high quality, long Berlicum maincrop carrot for fresh market or processing. Roots 17 to 23cm long with excellent colour.
A short Autumn King type for autumn and early winter. Roots are 15 to 20cm long with deep intense colour and a smooth stump end. High yielding variety for fresh and processing use.
Excellent quality selection of the very popular Chantenay type. Very good internal colouring and a sweet flavour.
Flyaway combines roots of attractive shape, colour and smooth skin, with good resistance to carrot root fly. The variety has been bred to be less attractive to the egg laying flies and the maggots grow poorly on it.
A fast maturing early Nantes type. Uniform, rich-orange coloured roots for bunching, baby carrots and bagging.
