Exports

Exports

Tozer now regularly exports seed to over 30 different countries. Exporting seed can be a complex operation and for this reason we have a dedicated, full time export co-ordinator who works hard to ensure our exports are dispatched quickly and efficiently.

Phytosanitary Certificate

Most seed to be exported outside the EU requires a phytosanitary certificate (phyto). In order to raise a phyto we usually require the seed purchaser to obtain a Plant Import Permit from the country to which the seed is being exported. Once we receive the Import permit we can arrange for a plant health inspector to sample the seed and send it away for independent testing. It usually takes 2-3 weeks to obtain a Phyto.

Orange International Certificate

Orange International Certificates are required by some countries in addition to a Phyto. In order to obtain an Orange International Certificate we need to arrange for a Plant Health Inspector to sample the seed which will then be sent for independent purity and germination analysis. It usually takes 2-3 weeks to obtain an Orange International Certificate.

Certificate of Origin

Some countries require a Certificate of Origin to accompany a seed import. A certificate of origin can be obtained relatively quickly, usually taking one week.

Transport

We use a variety of freight companies and are happy to work with any company preferred by our customer. We also seek to minimise the costs by using the most appropriate freight method for each export.
